Calendly

Illustration System
Client:  Calendly / Pentagram
Adaptable Characters / Sets / Integrated Conceptual Graphic Elements / Digital Mascot Integration / Asset library

Helping to define the Calendly message online. Simplifying and visually explaining complex abstract concepts via integrated mascot Caly, graphic elements and a full cast of adaptable characters and scenes. Working alongside Petagram re-brand.










Caly

Illustration System Mascot

Caly was created as a bridge between the user and the more complex concepts and processes utilised by Calendly. A squirrel fit as a visual metaphor of the core process of Calendly.

Calendly does a lot behind the scenes to make life easier for users, from calendar syncing to automated timezone scheduling.

These complex processes needed to be visualised in an understandable way for users. Caly was integrated into the graphic ecosystem to help demonstrate these complex processes in a helpful and understandable way.
The graphics were also able to be used as stand alone visual references.







Forum

Illustration System
Client:  Forum
Forum is a new social platform created as a place to share ideas around contemporary thinking. The start-up required a series of concepts visualising in a graphic editorial style that could seemlessly integrate with their user inferface.









Scaleable Iconic

A set of conceptual illustrations were created to represent actions taken by Forum users these could also be used as notifications.

The visuals served a dual purpose of introducing a visual language to Forum, utilising larger illustrated scenes whilst smaller graphics were intergrated into the user interface, for this reason scale and clarity of message was key.




BLOCK

Graphic Illustration System
Client : BLOCK
A top down illustrated system of definable characters, objects and scenes that adapt to the communication needed for U.S home rennovation brand Block.





A collection of objects and scenes were created to reflect all aspects of the renovation process, from design to build.
Over 200 objects were built in relative scale to interact with characters and scene builds.
Top down / Stacked up

There are four character sets within the BLOCK system, homeowners, block team members, designers and contractors.


Each set has a unique cast of characters and objects which can be layered up to form scenes.






TED X

Illustrations / Graphics
Client:  TED
A series of illustrations and graphics to celebrate 15 years of TED X in 2024.The project included more developed illustrations and some graphic explorations.









BCG

Storyboards for Animation / Illustrations for Animation
Client:  Boston Consulting Group / Plastic Pictures
Plastic Pictures needed a storyboard and graphic illustrations for a short animated piece to lead into the BCG’s annual Consilium. The award winning animation questioned prescribed global understanding through the use of optical illusion and visual metaphor.

ConceptOptical Illusion / Flow


The concept of the animation was to utilise graphic shape, colour and visual metaphor to seemlessly blend ideas on topics such as climate change, deforestation, digital footprints and future action.

The storyboard and graphic stills were animated by Plastic Pictures.







Soho House Maps

Maps + Icons
Client: Soho House / Antler
A series of 18 maps created for Soho House to use within their city guides which are available to guests staying at the various houses across the globe. Approached in a graphic way each map included a key to the best POI’s in the cities and were also accompanied by a series of illustrated shopping icons of unique products available in those locations.

Marshalls

Graphic Icons / POS / Wayfinding
Client:  Marshalls / Wieden + Kennedy London
As part of a larger rebrand W+K needed a series of bespoke icons creating for use across print and online for Marshalls. The icons were developed using the new wordmark’s humanist forms as a starting point. The full wayfinding system was to be implemented over 1000 stores across the U.S. and online.







Way To Go


Over 60 icons were created to help in the navigation of items both online and in store.

The items were graphically reduced and covered seasonal as well as well-known items sold by Marshalls.

The icons utilised the new logotype’s curves and angles as a visual cue to create an ownable set of assets for Marshalls.

Eat Just

California based Eat Just are one of the worlds leading providers of plant-based alternative foods. The project called for a series of icons and graphics that helped tell their story alongside a series of recipe icons.
